WELCOME TO CAMP CYPRESS

Camp Cypress is located at the Baradine Showgrounds; perfectly positioned at the gateway to the vast and intriguing forest of The Pilliga.

Camp Cypress is an ideal base for anyone seeking a tranquil escape into the Australian bush. Enjoy bush walks, scenic forest drives and discover hidden gems like the weatherworn caves. The Pilliga is a birdwatcher's paradise. Follow some of Baradine's well-marked Bird Routes and you could spot flocks of glossy black cockatoos coming in to drink at the Salt Caves Dam at sundown.

Spanning over 3,000 square kilometres, the State Forests of the Pilliga constitute the largest continuous remnant of semi-arid woodland in temperate New South Wales, Australia. The forest contains at least 300 native animal species, and more than 230 species of birds; with at least 22 endangered animal species including vulnerable species such as the Glossy Black Cockatoo, Squirrel Glider, Koala, Pilliga Mouse and Rufous Bettong. There are at least 900 plant species including many threatened plant species.
